Saturday In-Person Meditation and Dhamma Talk

Join us for a socially-distanced insight meditation practice and Dhamma talk, at the Center in Wenham, on Saturday mornings. The practice sessions begin at 9:30 AM and conclude at 10:45 AM. Both beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome.

Facemasks are encouraged for everyone and required for those not fully vaccinated, and attendance is limited to 12 people, so advance registration is required (see Reservation form below).

Additional COVID-19 precautions include air purifiers in the meditation hall and hand sanitizing stations. High touch surfaces are wiped down after each use, and the building is left unoccupied for at least several days between each session. In addition, the tea station will remain closed except or retreats, so you are urged to bring your own beverage with you if desired.

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person to person contact. As a result Federal, state, and local governments as well as federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have prohibited or limited the congregation of groups of people.

The Center for Mindfulness & Insight Meditation (The Center) has put in place preventive measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, the Center cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, participating in any activities sponsored by the Center could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19.

By checking the acceptance box below and submitting the reservation form, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending any Center sponsored activity, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Center sponsored activities may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others.

I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my participation in Center sponsored programs an activities. I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the Center, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Center, its Board, employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after visiting the Center or participating in any Center program or activity.
